Der Vorbote der legendären X-Mix Serie, die 3Lux Videos,
stehen für die ersten Schritte der visuellen Realisierung von Techno.
In den frühen 90er Jahren entdeckten junge Computerkünstler um Rainer Remake die Möglichkeiten, Soundtracks der zum damaligen Zeitpunkt angesagtesten Produzenten – wie z.B. Dave Angel, Visions of Shiva, Aphex Twin, Mixmaster Morris, Neutron 9000 sowie Cosmic Baby – mit Computeranimationen und neuer digitaler Technologie visuell zu verbinden.
Pulsierende Schatten, verkümmerte Landschaften, Strudel von Sounds und Traumbilder machten die 3LUX Serie so frisch und roh, exorbitant und optimistisch und sie galt als Expedition in eine bis dato nicht existente Symbolik des Techno
– frühem Trance sowie Ambient.

3LUX gilt immer noch als Vorreiter des Videoscape, adaptiert bis heute von der elektronischen Dancemusic und wurden rechtzeitig zum 10. Jahrestag digital komplett überarbeitet.
